Department of Housing and Town Planning, Sindh Local Government and Karachi Development Authority – Karachi Development Authority has initiated the drafting of a new regional plan to guide the development of Karachi to 2047.

Commissioned from international Consultant Dar Al-Handasah with support from Pakistani consultants Asian Home | Asianconz and Everon Consultants Pvt Ltd. The plan will be developed over a 24-month period starting from December 2024.

But importantly, it is also critical that in order to draft a plan that responds to the unique challenges and needs of Karachi, it takes into consideration the concerns and aspirations of everyone who has an interest, whether resident, business, or visitor, in Karachi.

This means that the Plan seeks to involve everyone, and the process of its development is there to encourage all to have their say.
